Nomad Fighters are the main ships used by the Nomads, and have a chance to drop Nomad weaponry if you meet a certain level requirement. The dropped Nomad weapons are slow firing, but are powerful and use no energy. The weapons the Nomad fighters use are indeed less powerful and take quite a bit of energy, but they are not available to the player without any game file editing. Nomad Fighters, like most Nomad ships, are blueish-white and have an organic texture. They lack shielding equipment and mounts, but they carry extremely powerful weapons and have a high level of manuverability. There is much debate over the origin of the ships, whether they are pilotable or rather organic structures. The nomads counter the lack of shields and other conventional equipment with amazing numerical superiority.
